Quality at Katjes: Dr. Maier explains how it works.
You simply enjoy eating Katjes! And to ensure that it remains like this, one thing is
of particular importance: the quality. Fortunately, there is one person in our Katjes-family who is a real expert in this regard– our Dr. Maier.
Here, Dr. Maier explains the important issues that there are in the course of production, and how many things we have to check and verify in order to ensure that your pack contains only the very best quality!
1.) Raw Material Suppliers
Our quality check begins with the selection of suppliers! Because: only those that fulfil the Katjes-quality criteria may supply raw materials. For this we first verify every single raw material. Only once these materials fulfil our specifications, they may be used in our products!
Katjes-guarantee: We control and verify everything! All incoming raw materials have to be cleared by us. Otherwise, they go back to the suppliers.
2.) Incoming Goods Inspection and Testing
All incoming raw materials are tested by us as soon as they arrive! Raw materials are only then released when we have placed a tick next to all testing criteria! Otherwise: barred! This means that they may not be used in our products.
Katjes-guarantee: We control and verify everything! All incoming raw materials have to be cleared by us. Otherwise, they go back to the suppliers.
3.) Blending and Cooking
In the course of blending and cooking, we inspect the ingredients as well. In order to ensure that our products always have the same yummy taste, we always pay attention to the recipe! To do this, the cooking fruit gum- or liquorice mass is continuously checked by us.
Katjes-guarantee: All of our products are manufactured exactly according to the formulation recipe! Thus, they always have the same yummy taste!
4.) Product Processing
Before our products come into the packs, they are carefully examined once more! Any products that are not in accordance with the Katjes- quality requirements fall through and are sorted out!
Katjes-guarantee: All our products are personally controlled by a Katjes-employee!
5.) Packaging
So, which gums may then go into the packs? Only those that Dr. Maier, and the production have checked! In this regard one thing is of crucial importance: they have to fulfil all of the Katjes-quality requirements!
Katjes-guarantee: Only products that have been released are allowed to come into our packs!
6.) Cardboard Packaging and Palletising
To ensure that our products reach the market in the same quality as they had left our premises, we transport all boxes at a specified temperature. By means of chilled logistic they are protected against temperature fluctuations the whole time over! In this regard we are pioneers, but as you can see, no effort is too much to ensure the yummy taste...
Katjes-guarantee: Every box is important for us! All boxes are transported chilled until they reach the market!
