We, Katjes Fassin GmbH + Co. KG, take the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly abide by the rules of the data privacy regulations.
The following declaration will give you an overview about what kind of data is being collected, for what purpose it is being used, how we guarantee the protection of this data and how you can always obtain corresponding information as well as how you can revoke your consent to the use of data.
COLLECTION, STORAGE AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
We collect, process and use the following personal data: (a) in the context of simple website usage: anonymised IP address, type and scope of the website elements you have retrieved, date and time of access as well as(if you access the website via a link) the last URL you visited; (b) if you use the contact form: your name and surname, your email address and address, as well as (c) to occasionally hold competitions via social media (in particular Facebook and Instagram).
We use the data defined under (a) to set cookies and perform analyses using Google Analytics and Piwik (see explanations under the respective keywords below); the data listed under (b) and (c) is solely used to deal with your inquiries and conduct competitions (the data will afterwards be deleted and will not be forwarded to third parties).
You can determine how cookies are handled by adjusting the corresponding settings in your internet browser.
For example, you can set your internet browser to inform you when a cookie is transferred to your computer, or you can deactivate all cookies via your browser (the Help menu of your browser tells you how to correctly change or update the handling of cookies).
We therefore assume that you agree to the setting of cookies if your browser permits this.
Cookies are also used in connection with the analysis software Google Analytics and Piwik (see special explanations below).
We use Google Analytics for our website. This is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We have entered into an outsourced data processing agreement with Google, and are implementing the requirements of the German data protection authorities in their entirety.
For more information about the use of user data by Google Analytics, please refer to Google’s privacy statement: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
However, if you visit the website from a member state of the European Union or a state which is party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP address is truncated by Google beforehand due to the website's IP anonymisation. The entire IP address is only sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there in exceptional cases only.
Google will use the anonymised IP address and corresponding usage data on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and to provide us with further services relating to website and internet use.
The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not consolidated with other data from Google.
You can prevent the cookies set by Google Analytics from being stored on your computer by adjusting the corresponding setting in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that this might result in you not being able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent. Currently however, such a usage restriction seems unlikely.
Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting data generated by the cookie relating to your use of our website (incl. your IP address) as well as from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
As an alternative to the browser plug-in or for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the collection of your data when you visit our website in the future:
We use the open source web analytics software Piwik for marketing and optimisation purposes.
The respective data will not be forwarded to third parties; we only use the data for internal analysis purposes.
You can prevent the cookies from being stored by adjusting the corresponding setting in your browser software (see above explanation under ‘Cookies’). We would like to point out that this might result in you not being able to use all the functions of the website to their full extent. Currently however, such a usage restriction seems unlikely.
If you do not want your data to be stored and used, you can deactivate storage and usage here:
In this case, an opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which prevents Piwik from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Piwik opt-out cookie will be deleted as well. The opt-out cookie must then be reactivated the next time you visit our website.
