Katjes launches a national OOH poster campaign to call on people to be more mindful of life.

Emmerich, 26 May 2020 – In the middle of the coronavirus crisis, Katjes re-emphasises the motto of its campaign: ‘Every life is precious.’ Using the hashtag #bemindfulofothers, the sweets manufacturer from Emmerich, Germany, calls on people to be more mindful of all life. And because Covid-19 is predominantly a threat to older people, the heroine of the new poster isn’t a young twenty-something model – but an elderly lady. Due to current restrictions, the company was unable to complete a new photo shoot for this campaign. Instead, Katjes found the perfect picture in Karsten Thormaehlen’s artistic series of centenarian portraits entitled ‘Aging Gracefully’. A large-scale version of the poster will be placed from June onwards on Alexanderplatz Square in Berlin, and the image will then appear on billboards across Germany as well as on Katjes’ social media channels.
